Blancpain

The oldest continually-operating watchmaker in the world. Founded in 1735 in Villaret, Switzerland by Jehan-Jaques Blancpain, descendants ran the company for seven generations; it's now part of the Swatch Group. Its jewel-box store on Fifth Avenue between 54th and 55th Streets displays its famous collections, including the "Fifty Fathoms" diver's watch first introduced in 1953.
